MOMO'S RECIPE (Steamed & Fried) with MOMO Sauce

MOMOS


Momo is a type of steamed dumpling with some form of filling. Momo has become a traditional part of everyone's life even the old aged people likes it. Whenever we go out or want to celebrate small happiness we use to go out for MOMO party. As the people of Delhi are more addicted to it they like it at the most of every thing. But we rarely get a good MOMO to eat. So why not we try the recipe at the ease of everything in a simple way.

Let's get started.....


INGREDIENTS


    Dough-

1. White Flour (Maida) -  1 Cup (150 gm)
2. Salt - 1/2 tsp
3. Cooking oil - 1 tsp

     Stuffing-

1. Cabbage(Grated) - 200 gm

2. Green Chilli - 2

3. Carrot(Grated) - 1/2

4. Garlic Clove(Chopped) - 4

5. Onion (Chopped) - 1/2

6. Spring Onion - 1/3 cup

7. Salt to taste

8. Black Pepper - 1/3 tsp

9. S0ya Sauce - 1 tsp

10. C00king Oil - 1 tsp


      MOMO Sauce

1. Red tomatoes - 5 (Medium sized)

2. Red Chilli - 10

3. Kashmiri Red Chilli - 1 tsp

4 . Garlic Clove (Chopped) - 5

5. Salt to taste

6. Cooking Oil - 1 tsp


PROCEDURE

Dough-  Take White flour(Maida) in a container add 1/2 tsp salt mix it properly so that salt and white flour mixes well together then add 1 tsp cooking oil and mix again properly so that no lumps will be there. After that add water and make a soft dough and keep it aside for 20 mins by covering with wet cloth.


Stuffing-  Heat the cauldron(Kadhai) in medium flame then add 1 tsp oil after that add chopped garlic and green chillies to it and do stir fry for 50-60 sec only after that add onion and fry it for 3-4 mins on medium flame then add cabbage and carrot together and fry the mixture for 2-3 mins to remove the raw taste from it after that add black pepper and soya sauce and mix the mixture properly. And keep the mixture to become cool after that add salt (Salt is added after cooling so that the mixture does not resist water from it), and take the mixture in another container.


MOMO Sauce- Boil the tomatoes and red chillies together for 10 minutes in a pan and after that peel the skin of tomatoes and grind the tomatoes and chillies in mixer.


DIRECTION

Steamed Momos- Mash the dough once again and cut it into smaller pieces and make it round and plain and put the mixture into it and make the shape of Momos by rolling each side and combing at the top. After that heat the Momo Utensil (or you can use Idli Utensil) with water at medium flame and put the raw Momos into into and cook for 20 mins. Your Momo is ready to serve.

Fried Momos- Heat the oil in the pan, Now put the Steamed Momos in the hot oil and stir fry the Momos till it gets golden brown. Your Momo is ready to serve.

Momo Sauce- Heat 1 tsp oil in the pan put chopped garlic when the oil is heated and now put the grinded tomatos and chilli in the pan, and kashmiri lal mirch and salt at the same time and stir fry it for 10 mins on low flame. Your Momo Sauce is ready to serve.
